The purpose of the CSCS course is to train & access the participants on Signing, Lighting & Guarding at Roadworks as specified in

Chapter 8 of The Traffic Signs Manual
Guidance for the Control & Management of Traffic at Roadworks

And in accordance with the relevant Legislation

Introduction to Traffic Management
Roadworks Classifications
Traffic Management Devices
Traffic Management Layouts
Traffic Management Applications

Day 2

Multiple Choice Exam
Motorways / Dual Carriageways
Classroom Practical
Safe Systems of Installation
Site Practical

Day 3

Site Practical Exam
Classroom Practical Exam

At the end of the course you will be able to

List the relevant Legislation
Describe signs & devices used on roadworks
Describe static and semi-static operations
List the requirements for the installation of Traffic Management
Read and describe the traffic layouts set out in "Chapter 8" & Guidance for the Control and Management of Traffic at Roadworks
Install, maintain & remove signs & devices used on roadworks
Create and maintain site records
